Waterwise. These curriculum resources were written using the QSA
Essential Learnings, Early Years Curriculum Guidelines and
PrimaryConnections frameworks.
A new Whizzy big book will be a central
feature
of these resources. The Early Childhood resources have been divided
into Prep – Year 1 and Years 2- 3 sections and consist of a sequenced
program of lesson plans and activities. The workshop will include
hands-on activities from the new resource.
The curriculum materials are supported by
comprehensive background information for teachers and an additional
resource bank of supplementary water education materials. These
materials will be provided on-line.
Participants will receive a copy of the
full
primary resource on CD-ROM and hard copy versions of the Prep - Year 3
classroom resources. They will be able to register their school’s name
to receive their complimentary copy of Whizzy when it is released. One
copy of the Whizzy big book will be provided per school.
