Free Novice Teacher Night for Primary & Secondary Teachers

Since 1998 QAMT has been offering an in-service specifically for our first and second year teachers or those returning to the classroom after an interval or final year education students. The purpose of the event is two-fold:

* We wish to welcome our new colleagues to the profession ($10 off membership)

* We wish to offer to our new teachers some effective and magical teaching activities which can be used out of the hat in any mathematics classroom.

PROGRAMME USUALLY CONSISTS OF

4.30-5.00 Registration, BBQ and welcome address by the President QAMT

5.00-7.00 A series of effective mathematics activities for your classrooms (separate sessions for both primary and secondary teachers)

7.00-7.15 QAMT general meeting and prize draw.

Both Primary and Secondary teachers are welcome. Separate workshops will be offered for each. Secondary teachers are advised to bring a scientific/graphics calculator. Each delegate will receive a certificate of attendance.\
